Satellite Airport Control System
SACS - It is modern solution for control aircraft traffic around airports. It's based on precise GPS receivers to position aircrafts. With DGPS (differential GPS) reference station is possible to reach preciseness unique in aviation. Digital radio communication is used to real-time position control. This solution allowed monitoring aircrafts up to 50 kilometers faraway from airport.
Data from GPS receivers contain all base flight parameters like position, altitude, ground speed, vertical speed and magnetic course.That's why it is possible to integrate all control systems in one application. Moreover, thanks to GPS, preciseness is much higherthen at conventional approaching systems.

SACS Description
Ground Control Center - GCC
- DGPS Reference Station - preparing differential corrections for onboard GPS receivers. Corrections are sending thru radio channel.
- Radio communication - two radio-modems, two frequencies for sending and receiving
- Control Center - PC computer with special software to management of radio communication, data acquisition, logging, processing and sharing to other applications
- Controller's Stations - Tower Control (TWR), Approaching Control (APP), Precise Approaching Control (PAR)
Satellite Onboard System - SOS
- GPB receiver with aerial - calculate position and flight parameters
- Central Processing Unit - management of all tasks like radio communication, data processing, onboard systems monitoring, off-line data logging, display position (for pilot/navigator)
- Digital radio-modem with aerial - provides communication with Ground Control Center
