One of the most complex activity undertaken by INS is installation of GPS reference stations with complete technical support for their users.
GPS REFERENCE STATIONS INSTALLED AND SUPPORTED BY INS
The map above depicts the locations of reference stations installed and supported by INS in Poland. The most significant part of the reference station program is the ASG-PL network of six GPS reference stations located in Upper Silesia, in southern Poland. Its operations developed by INS are entirely automated and connected to Computation and Control Center via internet. The system provides both data and computational services to a variety of local users of the GPS technology.
The INS R&D team has scored several achievements in developing its own advanced systems. One of the recently developed systems is the most advanced telemetry system named IGTS. Its main function is the optimization of geodetic/GIS measurements in real time.
